Youth Boys

Flying Kukris boys play colts rugby (for those 12 years old and above) with other teams in the New Territories. As last year, the Colts will be playing as the Flying Kukris.

We currently field U14 team and hope to field an U16 team from the previous 2 years players (plus new joiners). U14 boys are those born in 1995 and 1996; U16s are those born in 1993 and 1994, and U18s are those born in 1991 and 1992.

We train at Community Sports Centre (CSC) on a separate full pitch next to the Minis’ pitch. Space will be limited for the first couple of weeks. This year, much as last year, matches will be grouped and played at various venues. Details will be published weekly in the FK newsletter.

Head of Youth – Andy Tracy

To all Colts Boys:

Welcome to a new season. Training begins Sunday, 24th August, from 10:00 to 12:00 at Community Sports (CSC). Transport info is here.

Registration for Flying Kukris will take place starting Sunday, 24th August. Membership details are here. Please bring the money and we will have the forms for you to fill.

This year, we expect to have new sponsors as well as Tanner De Witt to generously support our Flying Kukris. That will make it possible for us to get new kit (hopefully in time for the Festival) and to help with the costs of buses and coaching.

The coaching team is being worked on by David Holden, Head of Coaching.

I don’t yet have the schedule of tournaments from the RFU but as soon as I do, I will pass it on to you. Expect it to be similar to last year.

Bring friends, as well as your kit, mouthguards, and lots of water any Sunday. A quick word about boots: the guideline for studs is that there cannot be a single stud at the toe, the studs must be less than 21mm long and the studs cannot be worn, abrasive or considered dangerous. After a lazy Summer, please get fit, read the guide to fitness and the ELVs guide on the Home page.

Have fun! Don't hesitate to email if you have any questions. If you are not getting the weekly newsletter and Paul’s updates, tell one of the coaches!
