CLUB History
The history of Flying Kukris dates back to 1976 when the Gurkhas of the British Army and the British Royal Air Force based at Sek Kong formed a New Territories rugby team. We are not connected to the armed forces anymore, but we still play rugby at all levels and have been having fun doing it for almost 50 years. Find out more by following “Read More”:

Club Legal Status and Constitution
The Flying Kukris Rugby Football Club is a Registered Society in Hong Kong under the Societies Ordnance (Cap 151). As such we are non-profit making and any annual financial surplus is returned to enable our kids to play rugby. For more details of our Constitution and legal status by following “Read More”:
Child Safety, Welfare and Safeguarding
Child safety, welfare and safe guarding is critical for all societies and organisations providing services involving children and Flying Kukris is no exception. Volunteering Opportunities
Flying Kukris is a non-profit making organisation run entirely by volunteers who support the Committee in delivering top-level rugby training. Volunteers within Flying Kukris help with team organisation, coaching, first aid and festival organisation, and the hard-working committee. Insurance and Injuries
We train our coaches to train our players to play rugby as safely as possible. However, accidents and injuries can happen. Follow the link below to find out more about injury reporting, treatment and our approach to insurance.
HK Rugby Union
We are affiliated to the Hong Kong Rugby Union and we are an accredited club at minis and youth level. For more details on Union activity, please refer to the HKRFU Website
Hong Kong Scottish
Our partner senior club is Hong Kong Scottish who run teams in various mens and ladies adult competitions in Hong Kong including the Premiership. We have an agreed pathway for players to transition to senior rugby after reaching 18 years old. More details about Hong Kong Scottish can be found HERE
28 Squadron Old Boy's TEam
The Flying Kukris’ parents (playing as 28 Squadron) occasionally run onto the field in friendly matches against other local teams. Further information can be found by following “Read More”:
